Stop the Insanity! Stop Drinking Bottled Water!!

It is hot! I looked at the temperature last night at midnight, and it was 100 degrees! I hope you are staying cool and well hydrated.

The next few posts will be a series on drinking bottled water or any beverage found in plastic bottles. The count, some say, is 2,000,000 plastic bottles being disposed of every 5 minutes. Others say it is 2.5 million every hour. Either way, that's insane!

It just don't go away. Did you know that every bit of plastic that has ever been produced is still around and will be around for 1000 years? Staggering to think about, isn't it. Think about the plastic that people use now and will be using on infinitum in the future. That includes the plastic water bottle you may be holding in your hand right now.

People tell us that that's not true. We shouldn't be concerned about it: People recycle. Well, Captain Charles Moore, who discovered the Great Pacific Garbage Patch just above the Hawaiian islands that is twice the size of Texas and getting bigger every year, had a great comment on that in the following video. A teacher once told him how much was recycled. "Diddly.squash," she said.

The truth is, less than 5% of our refuse may be recycled. That is the refuse which is deliberately discarded at recycle depositories like you probably do. But, how many other people do you know do that? And, interestingly, bottle caps are another story. Just watch the following video by Captain Charles Moore. It makes a strong statement. More posts on this subject will follow soon.

There is a logical, healthful answer to the problem, however. Visit our web site and see how you can very easily be a part of the solution to a very serious problem.

Have a great day

It's Hot! Are You Drinking Enough Water?

Water...It's not a choice. You have to drink water. In this sweltering weather, it's vital for your health & well-being to stay well hydrated.

However, bottled water is not the answer. Did you know that most of the bottled water that you may be drinking, if you're drinking bottled water, is as acidic as soda! Hard to believe, isn't it? But it's true. Besides that, the chemicals in the plastic bottles themselves leach into the water held within and those chemicals are hormone disruptors for men, women, and children. And, 2.5 million bottles go into landfills every hour in this country alone.

So, what's the answer? You can make your own alkaline, anti-oxidant, micro-clustered water for super hydration. If you work out, this is so important. And, you make it at home, right from your own tap water source. Purified, filtered water that is so much more. Read more about it at http://www.be-alkaline.com/ . Watch the videos. You'll discover that there is a difference in water. And, in this hot weather, you need the best!

Even Tylenol Promotes Drinking Enough Water

We all know that drinking water is important. Did you know that Tylenol has a water widget that you can download onto your computer desk top to remind you?

Yes, Tylenol has this little widget that reminds you that you need to drink water. It can be found at http://www.tylenol.com/fast/index.jhtml. Download it free, and you will know when it's time to drink your water throughout the day while you're at the computer.

Tylenol promotes doing this because they tell us it is very important to drink water to avoid getting a headache among other benefits. Interesting, isn't it? They say:

"Did you know that water helps lubricates our joints, cusions our vital organs, transforms the food we eat into needed energy, regulates the body temperature, carries vital nutrients and oxygen throughout our bodies and flushes away toxins. In short, water helps the whole body work better. On the other hand, even mild dehydration can mke you feel tired, dizzy, or light-headed--and can even cause a headache. That's why proper hydration is so essential."

Water is vital for your well-being and health. It is not a choice. You must drink water: That's how we were made. Drinking water while you are sitting all day at your computer is just as important as when you are out on the basketball court. You need to stay hydrated.

Get up and move around a bit, too. Every so often, move your feet around in circles while you are sitting in your chair. Stretch your arms. Hold in your stomach for three counts in several repetitions every half hour, and, if at all possible, get up every hour to move around even if it's to walk back and forth in your office or do a few jumping jacks or whole body, yoga stretches. Don't worry about looking silly. You may just start a trend to have others do likewise.

The important thing is to not just remain totally immobile. The hours can literally slip away while you are engrossed in your work. Having good circulation by doing frequent little exercises and drinking plenty of water are very important additions to your daily, work routine. Your health is all that matters.

Till next time...

Stay healthy and happy,
Stephen

You Are Probably Thirsty-Not Hungry!

Our thirst mechanism sometimes fools us. We think we are hungry, when all we need is water---Calorie free water! Instead of a snack between meals, drink some water and see if that doesn't satisfy instead. Here is some information I thought you might enjoy reading:

"By not drinking enough water you slow down fat loss. Beyond the weight loss benefits, it's a vital health concern to take in enough water even if you are not thirsty (thirst can be an unreliable signal during the early stages of dehydration).

The fatigue, simple headaches, lack of concentration and dizziness you feel at the end of a workday can result simply from not drinking enough water," explains Liz Applegate Ph.D., nutritional science lecturer at the University of California, Davis, and the nutritional columnist for Runner's World magazine." These are symptoms that too many of us have come to expect---and worse, to accept! Don't!

In addition, the best way to rid the body of excess retained water is to drink more water, says dietitian Kathy Stone, R.D., author of Snack Attack." When an individual senses he is retaining fluid, then cuts back on his water intake to compensate, the body just responds by retaining more fluid.---Excerpt from-The Power of 5 by Harold Bloomfield, M.D., & Robert K. Cooper, Ph.D

It's a great book. Pick one up on Amazon. If you'd like to know more, call me for information on Living Water. It is the best, by far, water to drink including water from all the other ionizers on the market, and I'll explain why when you call. The information is important to you health and well-being.

Clean and Sanitize with Water!

I have talked about the benefits of alkaline, antioxidant water for health, however, the benefits of electrolized water just don't stop there. We have the ability to make strong alkaline water amd strong acidic water to clean our homes safely without chemicals, clean our fruits and vegetables removing herbicides and pesticides-which is very important, and rinse meat and fish killing harmful bacteria.

There was an article recently in the LA Times that can be viewed at http://www.latimes.com/news/local/la-fi-magicwater23-2009feb23,0,4203536.story?page=2&track=rss . Only a few ionizers make this level of pH water and only uses just table salt to do so just as is discussed in the article. Some machines require that you continually purchase a solution from the company that contains sodium chloride and sodium hypochloride (bleach) with which to make the very low and very high pH water.

Not so with Living Water! It uses plain salt, and, yet, it makes these wonderful levels of pH water to do so many things around your home, as well as, to use on cuts, minor burns, insect bites, and abrasions. It makes this unit very economical to use and very convenient since most everyone always has salt in the home.

Please call me for further information as to how you can be eco-friendly and disinfect effectively at the same time using this cutting edge technology in your home or business.

"Electrolyzed water cleans, degreases -- and treats athlete's foot. It is the solution for replacing toxic chemicals in your home and office."

Drink Water for Better Skin in the Winter

Hi,

Hope you are having great first day of 2009!. There was a very good little article in First Magazine, January 5th issue, this week about water.

On page 18 you can find the article, Slim Face:

Dehydration may not be top of mind in the winter, but heated indoor air can sap bodily fluids. "Reduced water content in the body creates a rise in sodium, prompting fluid retention that makes the face look puffy."

Fast Fix: Drink two glasses of water upon awakening. This dilutes sodium and replenishes fliuds so puffiness subsides throughout the day, notes Dr. Pescatore...

Pick up the magazine to read the full article. Water is vital for life and should never be neglected in our daily routine. And, Living water is restructured for optimum hydration, an anti-oxidant to fight free radicals, and alkaline to help the body be more balanced!

Visit my website to get full details. You'll find it so interesting for your health and wellness. Call me for more information.

Have a great day,
Stephen

What Are You Using on Your Skin?

Your skin is the largest organ of the body. It absorbs what is put on to it, and it releases toxins. Even the ancients were aware of this transdermal process.

Because of this, we have to be very careful what personal care products we and our precious children and grandchildren use. Studies cited in the Journal of the American College of Toxicology warn that some of the substances found in skin care products are Sodium Lauryl Sulphates, known skin irritants shown to have degenerative effects on cell membranes; methyl-, propyl-, and butyl-parabens which are toxic and allergenic; and propylene glycol, an industrial anti-freeze used for moisture retention. Many of these and others are petroleum based: By-products of the oil industry!

You have to get to the point of doing the same thing with your personal care products that you do with your foods: If you can't pronounce it, if you don't absolutely know what it is or where it comes from-the source, don't use it! Remember: What is being put on the skin, gets absorbed into the body.

So when you are shopping, read the labels on your skin-care products, as well as, on your food products. You will be greatly surprised at what they contain.

More on this next time...
